- The MCC laws of Cricket will apply except where otherwise stipulated.
- Each Team will consist of 8 Players. The wicketkeeper is not permitted to bowl 5 Players must bowl an over (6 balls) each. The wicketkeeper has the option to either wear pads or not, but Keeping gloves must be used.
- All Matches will be played concurrently which means when 1 Inning of a game is completed the 1st Inning of the next game will commence and at the end of that inning the earlier game will be completed. However in the event of adverse weather or any other unforeseen reason the format maybe changed by the Organizers.
- Should the weather or light intervene the Organizing Committee will have the right to make adjustments to the playing conditions and number of overs and or balls will be reduced making it fair to the teams.
- A wide and No Ball will give a penalty of 4 runs to the Batting side plus any runs scored off that delivery and no extra ball. However if the last ball of the inning is a no ball or wide the fielding side will concede the penalty and runs scored and the delivery will have to be re-bowled until it is legitimate.
- A Batsman must retire on reaching a personal score of 35 runs. If he is on 34 and scores a 6, 4 or any runs, he may complete the additional runs and retire. He will be permitted to return to the crease and continue if 1 of the last pair batsman is out. A batsman cannot retire until he has reached 35, but in the case he is injured while batting he may retire.
- Substitution is allowed only through injury which is caused on the playing field during a game. The substitute may field but not permitted to bat or bowl.
- In a tied match the wicketkeepers of each side will bowl an over each, and if at the end of that over the match still ends in a tie…a Toss of a coin will decide the winner of the game.
- Balls, pads, bats & wicket keeping gloves will be provided by the organizers. Other equipment must be brought by the players.
- Please do not use spike shoes
- Ensure that your Team is present at the Grounds for the Toss and to take the field when your Team captain is called to do so. Should the full team not be present when called you will concede a walk over to the opponent and that will constitute a Win to the opponent.
- The Umpires will be from the Sri Lanka Cricket Umpires Association and their word will be LAW. If any dispute arises outside the jurisdiction of the Umpires, The Event Ambassador and Event coordinators will take an appropriate decision which will be final for rules not included here.
In the event 2 or more teams have won an equal number of matches in the league the following will be the method of finding a group winner.
- Total runs scored by teams – Highest aggregate total will win. If still a tie
- Total wickets Lost or
- Head to Head match results
The event organizers will make the final decision
